Know what to specify.
Seamless pipe is made without a longitudinal welded seam. That manufacturing distinction alone does not establish its allowable working pressure or suitability. Selection depends on the material specification, dimensions, design conditions and applicable engineering requirements.
Specify seamless construction explicitly
State “seamless” in the enquiry and purchase description when it is a project requirement. Do not assume a general stainless steel pipe listing is seamless. Include the required product standard, material grade and any supplementary testing or inspection requirements so the offered pipe can be checked against the specification.
Size and schedule are separate information
Provide nominal bore and the applicable pipe standard, or the specified outside diameter and wall thickness. State the schedule if required. Include required lengths, number of lengths or total metres, and end preparation. For a replacement, share readable pipe markings and dimensions; photographs alone do not establish grade or construction.
SS304 and SS316 material requirements
SS304 and SS316 are our primary supply grades. If the requirement is specifically a low carbon grade or another designation, include the complete grade in your enquiry. Material certificates, traceability and testing requirements should be requested before the order is finalized. Supplied documentation is confirmed as part of the quotation.
Factory maintenance and project procurement
We welcome small replacement requirements and bulk project material lists. Share the operating medium, design pressure, temperature and project specification when requesting selection assistance. An engineer approved specification is especially important for pressure services; a supplier enquiry page is not a substitute for design verification.
