Before you order
Know what to specify.
A dairy butterfly valve enquiry should identify size, body and product contact material requirements, seat or seal material, end connections and operation. If pneumatic operation is required, add the actuator arrangement, air supply, control requirements and required fail position.
Identify the existing valve and connections
For a replacement, share a readable nameplate, model information and photographs of the valve and connections. State whether the ends are TC, welded or another specified arrangement. Connection dimensions and overall installation length matter when replacing a valve in an existing line.
Manual and pneumatic requirements
State whether a handle operated or pneumatically operated valve is needed. For an actuator, specify single acting or double acting operation where required, fail position, air supply and any solenoid or position feedback requirements. The final supplied assembly is confirmed in the offer.
Media, seal and operating conditions
Provide the process medium, operating and design pressure and temperature, and cleaning conditions. Request the required seal material and certificates. SS304 or SS316 alone does not confirm the suitability of the complete valve or its seals.
Maintenance parts and complete valve enquiries
Catalogue valve and seal kit listings can help identify the existing assembly. A seal kit name is not enough to confirm fit across models. Send the exact valve series and dimensions before ordering parts. Both small replacement and bulk valve enquiries are welcome.
