Know what to specify.
A dairy bend changes the direction of a process tube line. A useful purchase description includes the angle, tube outside diameter, wall thickness, bend radius and end connection. Similar nominal sizes do not establish that replacement bends will match an existing line.
Choose the angle and radius
State the required angle, such as 45 or 90 degrees, and the specified bend radius. For replacements, include a drawing or measured centre line dimensions where available. Catalogue options below help identify possible forms; the exact offered specification is confirmed during quotation.
Weld ends or hygienic connections
Tell us whether you need plain weld ends, TC ends, SMS related connection components or another arrangement. For TC connections, include mating ferrule dimensions and the applicable standard. Do not assume different connection systems or tube standards are interchangeable.
Grade, finish and documentation
State SS304 or SS316 and any more specific material designation required by the project. Include surface finish and material certificate requirements. Suitability for the product and cleaning process must be confirmed against the application specification.
