Before you order
Know what to specify.
A tee introduces a branch into a process tube line. Specify the run size and branch size separately, whether equal or reducing, together with wall thickness and connection standard. A line sketch is useful when the branch arrangement is not clear from the item description.
Equal and reducing branch requirements
An equal tee uses the same specified connection size for its run and branch. For a reducing tee, list the required dimensions for each connection rather than relying on a shorthand description. State any dimensional or fabrication drawing requirements when requesting a quote.
Confirm the end arrangement
Tell us whether you need weld end or TC connected components. Include the tube outside diameter, wall thickness and dimensional standard. If the tee connects to existing equipment, share the mating dimensions and any markings so matching components can be considered together.
Material and process requirements
SS304 and SS316 are our primary supply grades. Specify the exact grade, finish and required documents. Share the process and cleaning conditions when asking for selection assistance; the material name alone does not confirm suitability for every dairy, food or pharmaceutical service.
